Terms and Conditions:

1. Fees and Payment

1.1 Upon acceptance into the School, the Parent may register the Student for the Term and Academic Year applied for as indicated in the Admission Form and make payment of the Registration Fee. The Registration Fee covers a registration of enrolment to the School for the Term and Academic Year applied for. The Registration Fee is non-transferable and non-refundable regardless whether the child attends school upon enrolment.

1.2 Matters related to the Admission Fee, Registration Fee, Tuition Fee, Security Deposit and other fees payable shall be viewed comprehensively in the School’s Fee Schedule. The Parent undertakes to pay or arrange payment of all fees accordingly.

1.3 Tuition fees will be pro-rated on a monthly basis according to the duration of the school term for students commencing within the term.

1.4 Students registered in STARS are required to pay all ‘Fees’ due as per the fee schedule. Payment is to be made before deadline dates.

1.5 All fees must be paid in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payment in the form of cheques or bank drafts should be addressed to STARS International Academy Sdn Bhd.

1.6 For payment through bank remittance, wire transfer and direct bank in, the important details are as follows:

1.7 Each Academic year consists of 3 Terms:

    • Cambridge Academic Year: September to August
    • TERM 1 (1st September – 31st December) – Fees to be paid by 31st August.
    • TERM 2 (1st January – 30th April) – Fees to be paid by 31st December.
    • TERM 3 (1st May – 31st August) – Fees to be paid by 30th April.

1.8 Fees for subsequent terms are payable in advance, to be paid before the commencement of the new month (Easy Payment Scheme) or before the commencement of the new semester (Semesterly Payment Scheme).

1.9 The School reserves the right to impose a late payment penalty of RM 50 if fees are not paid on/before the due date from the 1st to the 20th of the following month.

1.10 The School reserves the right to impose Academic Barring until all outstanding fees have been paid. For avoidance of doubt, “outstanding payment” would refer to the outstanding [unpaid] balance.

1.11 The School reserves the right to mandate Legal action against defaulters in the event that a settlement for all outstanding payments is not made within thirty (30) days from the date the Student is removed from the programme.

1.11 A Parent may withdraw the child from the School by giving to the School ONE (1) full academic term’s notice, failing which the deposit SHALL be forfeited in full. The said notice shall set out the date of such withdrawal (“Withdrawal Date”), failing which the same shall be deemed as insufficient notice. For avoidance of doubt, please note that the notice of withdrawal must straddle ONE (1) FULL ACADEMIC TERM to be considered “sufficient firm notice”.
